Many great free resources for aspiring filmmakers can be found online. These are incredible free sources for supplemental learning. By no means do these replace full education in a subject, but these can be used within a class as part of a blended learning environment. Many of these courses are from top schools such as MIT. No Film School is a fantastic site that I highly encourage all students or filmmakers to use for inspiration and education.
